Would be interesting if Mike Lewis hired recently (questionably) fired Dane Fife to help round out his AC slots. Good lord I hope not we dint need fife anywhere around here |

Hi All Wanted to chime in and say that the future of BSU basketball looks promising. Glad for the new hire. Hope it works out. I am so glad Whitford is gone. I look forward to November. Let's hope that first game isn't IU-Kokomo or Michigan Tech. By the way, can even the most unperceptive among us now deny that Whitford should have been fired at halftime of the Michigan Tech game? |

Do you think Michael Lewis would have been a candidate if he were still available? No............. Just curious, by why no? It appears butler waited till today because the buyout drops. I can see Collier being interested Nored, but maybe this time he goes after someone who has proven success. |

They can get to slightly over $2 million for the right guy. Why would you hire Nored or Lewis if you can get Jeff Boals or Drew Valentine ?
A couple of other names to watch Thad Matta (if his health allows) and there is a rumor they are in contact with Chris Holtmann.
They sort of took a flyer on LaVall, they won't do that this time.

Wonder why Collier waited so long. I think Lewis mighta been interested in that one. The buyout explains the wait, but I doubt those who are candidates would not have known action was imminent. So if he had a good chance he'd have known.
Lewis would have faced stiffer competition for the Butler job. Being interested is one thing, but having a really good enough chance to pass up BSU or maybe Miami, both close top home, is another thing.
Looks like Miami had a line on Steele.
