Whitford hired Darner. That makes zero sense. If you were Darner, aside from the local connections, would you want to stay? My bet is on a certain demographic and Haven starts overseeing basketball like he did with football. Can we delete stupid posts like this ? Whitford hired Darner. Fact. Fact and have no issue with that, with the best talent getting the job. Fields worked closer to the FB program than Goetz did and is an up and Comer. Good opportunity to turn BB around on the admin side. Fact. What's stupid about that? Aside from your resident punching bag being absent from the board today. Get bent.

I'd like Brandon Brantley over Terry Johnson ... Brantley is a big time recruiter and developer of post players. Sparks would excel under him.

I'm certain the best candidate will be hired. Wasn't implying otherwise. If you knew me off this board you'd know that. There's no way they don't already have a short list. Most of these firms reach out to candidates before the job is vacated but don't say which school it's for. Checking though, hiring a "hot babe" in Tyler Cochran's shorts wasn't stupid and warranting getting deleted? Neither was the whole thread about claiming "racism' if Whitford was kept on?

1. Recruiting, Recruiting & Recruiting. Take risks and don't be afraid to lose some. Emphasize rebounding, defense and toughness. Emphasize the weight room. Establish contacts in Europe. 2. Be different from your contemporaries. Stay away from the status quo! Don't be a follower. Think differently. 3. Build a Blue-Collar tradition of hard work and physical play. Play Inside out, not outside in. 4. Be involved with the community.
