Worst recruiting trip ever?? Are you serious?? Seeing the highly ranked, nationally respected BSU volleyball team play in a conference championship game .. The chance to see some of the VERY BEST PLAYERS IN THEIR SPORT .. COMPETING FOR AN NCAA BID .. Really??? The worst recruiting trip ever? I think the BSU men's volleyball team is a GREAT EXAMPLE OF WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED AT BALL STATE. I would be proud to talk to recruits FOR ANY SPORT about the great achievements of our volleyball team. Sweep is a clown. Notice you don't have a single post in a men's volleyball related thread, thanks for your input "superfan".

Amen. Far and away the worst regular on the forum. Nah, I'd give that award to hmh in runaway fashion. Sweep has a lot of good stuff to say - he just may not do it with the tact everyone wants.

As for taking recruits to the MVB match, IMHO they do play at a high level, they are spectacular athletes, and the matches have great atmosphere. Further, there's not much else going on right now. The spring football game has become boring as hell and it's too cold to go to a baseball game.

Notice you don't have a single post in a men's volleyball related thread, thanks for your input "superfan". My gosh... I signed up to give this message board a try, and certainly expected some spirited discussion. I'm a bit surprised about the name-calling, though. My goodness...

Some is just banter, bluster. A thick skin required and being able to laugh at bullies.

Notice you don't have a single post in a men's volleyball related thread, thanks for your input "superfan". This is an interesting take (that if someone doesn't post in the volleyball forum they are obviously not a fan of the volleyball team). I'm pretty sure that up until a few moments ago I had never posted in the volleyball forum, yet I've been a fan of both volleyball programs for decades, and volleyball as a sport (collegiate, AVP, olympic) for decades as well. I also follow various professional and college programs (that aren't Ball State related) and *gasp* don't post on fan forums related those either. It's possible to follow and support programs without participating in a fan forum.

Michael Lewis was at last night’s MIVA tournament volleyball match with a recruit or two. I don't want to be a dick, but that sounds like the worst recruiting trip ever. If that was the sum and substance of their trip, then I could agree. You certainly can't believe that this was all they did. You add a lot of substance to the board but it appears to me that you enjoy being a dick sometimes.

So I am a little perplexed and amused by all the butthurt on this thread. Oh and give it a rest that "superfan" has never watched a men's volleyball game in his life.
