Lewis was tough as nails as a player. We need some toughness and real direction in the program and I think he'll bring it. Does anyone remember Lewis drilling a Purdue player directly in the face point blank with an in bounce pass when he played for IU? Best pass I’ve ever seen!😵😂 |

Great hire! Solid recruiter. Great at developing guards. Competitor. Fiery. A complete 180 from our last dude. In terms of Xs & Os, I think he will be a great hire. He ran the offense for Tim Miles at Nebraska when he was there and their offense was super efficient - they even made the NIT 2 years in a row, which is huge at Nebraska. I believe he is now running the defense at UCLA, which is a very high level and suffocating defense. It'll be interesting what we run on both ends. I am excited! I hope he’s great at developing Big’s too….ie. Sparks! |

Checks all the boxes we need. With that is going to come some obnoxious IU fans.. Thats tge only downfall. Oddly enough if there was ever a coach who can use Bumb and Brown this guy can figure out how

It will be interesting whether Mike is an old school offensive coach. I can't imagine him not appreciating defense. But how much he plays like old IU after decades of change in college basketball and in college players will be something to watch. Might get some clue by watching UCLA but hard to factor the difference in level of play compared to the MAC.

We will see. the way Sparks has been talking you'd think he could play for Lewis. Hopefully Sellers will stick too. Some of the other guys, well, they might not enjoy the level of work they're getting ready to have to put in. And, they need to get ready to find their rear ends on the bench if they aren't meeting standards. |
