Checks all the boxes we need. With that is going to come some obnoxious IU fans.. Thats tge only downfall. Oddly enough if there was ever a coach who can use Bumb and Brown this guy can figure out how Might get some clue by watching UCLA but hard to factor the difference in level of play compared to the MAC.
Jesus Christ, they beat Akron last week by four points, I don't think there is whole lot of difference in offensive or defensive schemes. Don't understand why you believe there is some huge schism between mid-major and p6 basketball. |

We will see. the way Sparks has been talking you'd think he could play for Lewis. Hopefully Sellers will stick too. Some of the other guys, well, they might not enjoy the level of work they're getting ready to have to put in. And, they need to get ready to find their rear ends on the bench if they aren't meeting standards. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them are not welcome to come back. That might include some guys who are not in the portal already. |

I wonder how many guys get kicked out of practice the first two weeks..............? Unlike Whitford, I don't think Lewis is going to let them just go through the motions everyday.

Yes, he is aware of his audience for sure. Regarding Sparks though, I don't agree with those on this board who decided to read into Sparks' comments as Whitford bashing (without mentioning that he actually publicly and personally thanked him). If that big ten interest is genuine, he's gone. That is the reality of mid major basketball and not a failure on the part of the team's chemistry or coach's drive. Now if he ends up at Loyola I might have to recalibrate my opinion. I'd be interested to know what kind of interest Sellers generated. I could see other MAC-like teams wanting him, but he might need more at bats for a bigger school to look more closely at him. |
