It is nice to see some engagement with the fans, but I am more interested in how he puts the team together and the quality of play. It seems like everything he does or says is being hyped up. I'll wait for some results before I go too crazy.
I like the hire and am cautiously optimistic.

Community and alumni Engagement is critical for several different reasons. I love the way he’s building excitement and enthusiasm for our program. Credit Beth on this as well as she knows and has probably told Lewis that if he wants more support financially for his program he’ll need to engage at all levels, season ticket buyers to students going to games to major financial contributors. Now, grated he needs to back it up with being a competitive program YoY but gotta love his out of the gate energy!!

This is freaking awesome! I can tell you there are multiple people who have donated in the past week and bought season tix for next season for the first time ever or in a looong time. He’s gonna do some things here I predict.

This is freaking awesome! I can tell you there are multiple people who have donated in the past week and bought season tix for next season for the first time ever or in a looong time. He’s gonna do some things here I predict. New blood at a Badketball Game impossible I remember a day (granted it’s been 20+ years ago) when Worthen (University) was packed with fans in our games against Ole Miss, Butler, Indiana, etc. I am convinced we are headed in that direction again. It’s awesome! |

I’m all for withholding judgment until we see it on the court. But he’s doing everything right so far. The contrast with Whitford is impossible to miss. It felt like Whit would have preferred fewer fans because it would have been fewer critical eyes. Lewis is not afraid.

It’s awesome! Not real likely we get that quality opponent. Likely we do increase attendance if we don't have a terrible season. Very unlikely attendance equals those peak attendance numbers 20 years ago. Even with an IU or Butler game, the MAC season isn't a good draw and demographics much different. OTOH. It is a cheap ticket, maybe inflation adjusted cheaper, free for students who don't seem to care much. |
