So, I'm just curious as to what everyone thinks the purpose of this is. Clearly, a "press conference" is unnecessary at this point. The coach has been announced. Any media member who's wanted access has probably had it, or am I wrong there? I know he's made the radio circuit, but I haven't paid much attention to TV. Have they been waiting?
Maybe the only new thing that might be released at this point regarding Lewis is the terms of his contract.
It's going to be 2 days after the Final Four weekend, also known as the greatest gathering of college basketball coaches on Earth, so I guess by Wednesday there might be some assistant coaches to be announced? Could it be that Lewis has set a deadline on portal players to make a decision so THE TEAM (as it will be) can be there intact?
Not that I'm against just having a party so the university can pat itself on the back more (lord knows it probably needs it after having people kick it in the ass for several years), but I'm hoping there's some more meat there than just that.

I'm having traumatic PTSD flashbacks to the Ronnie Thompson introduction and the idiotic grins on the faces of the two dipshits Gora and Collins, as they took advantage of the photo op with famous person John Thompson, which, oh-by-the-way, demonstrated how super, double, extra un-racist they were.
Not that there is any reason to suspect the Lewis hire is also an amateurish, mismanaged fiasco like that one.

Do you think if Butler would've fired LaVall Jordan two weeks ago, we would not be talking about Michael Lewis coming to BSU? I think he would've pursued the Butler job.
