Seems there are consequences to living on excuses and patiently watching your program go to shit for 20 years. Consequences for not having a following in Indy area where at best we would be behind IU,PU, BU and not likely to be seen on the nightly sports or be covered in the IndyStar.
Way too many casual fans and even our alums put us in the same group as IUPUI, ISU. Mike Lewis showed his age when he referred to his college days when he knew BSU was the class of mid majors in Indiana. But even then we probably had more national media presence because of our NCAA run. Chandlers dunk no small part of that.
Lewis is working the press hard, but I don't expect it to be easy to change that.

It's not like they only have one sports reporter and one camera. If they'd wanted to be there they would have been. I don't thinkthe Butler one had as much impact on attendees as you guys think.

If you've got a business and can somehow use the players for promoting it, do so. |
