Channels 8 and 59 were there. Another one I couldn't quite make out. Well WTHR-13 Sports is pretty non-existent, except when Calabro wants to do a piece on IMS, the 500 or the Pacers.

Enjoyed the conference and the enthusiasm the new coach exhibited. Being an impatient person my whole life, I enjoyed that he two is impatient! Also enjoyed his comment and his wife and his moves as my wife had the same problem and exhibited the same support for me. All in all, I think we have a good man in charge of the program. In addition, I think the AD has shown real leadership in her hires. Go Ball State!

Shouldn't you guys be in Florida, driving negative 5 miles an hour with your turn signal on?

So Butler's news conference to introduce Matta is also Wednesday. That said, how many members of the Indianapolis media will show up for the BSU presser? And even if they do make it, the lead story Wednesday night and Thursday is still going to be all Butler. Must not have been such a big deal. I opened my StarPress today, and no story at all on Butler... Of course, there was also no story on Mike Lewis in the print edition either.

Have to keep up with traffic when you stray out on the divided highways...

There was NO generation and maintenance of a younger fan base the last 20 years. The program and university were delinquent. All that's left is us old diehards. For 30 years I've seen the same people at the games, and it's very sad to see their seats slowly become empty as they become unable to attend, or die. The occasional dollar dog night would attract some new one offs, but they don't come back.

Only two seats I know of have been replaced

Only when I hit that drive over behind a tree and it's a long way to the green. Can't hit that big hook from a bad lie anymore. I hate to just hit it out to the fairway and give up a stroke. So I do dawdle and stew about it before I do.
