Dollar dogs they might do. That free parking, I doubt it.
Thinking about it, it's probably more likely they raise prices on everything.
I think it's overwhelmingly likely every opinion you have will be wrong. Life is infinitely better when Sweep & 00hmh are in conflict and becomes sublime when the insults start.

Weet is Rob talking about? Why, Witter, the new social media platform of course. With this group, it'd be called Half-Witter.

I gotta be honest - not many people are going to make the drive up i69 from Indy for anything short of a top 25 ranked team.
First, every game is available on ESPN +. Second, making that drive on a weeknight for a 7 pm tip is tough. Even a Saturday game means a dreary drive in possibly inclement weather.
There are what 20,000 students on campus? How do you get 2000 of them to come to games! That has to be a focus. I think 5000 Per game total attendance for a 20 win team is probably the ceiling, and if they can get so good as to be top 25 ranked you could see up to 8000.
Better competition will help too.

I agree 5000 fans average for our good teams is possible. And an occasional near sell out isn't impossible, if we can get a good visitor lined up who brings fans. 6000 in the seats would seem like a sellout and that might be done if we had a conference championship on the line or other exceptional draw. Students tend to show up for big events.
But, consistent student turnout is doubtful. Not that many hard core basketball fans. Getting rid of real cupcakes could help, but a much better schedule with good teams coming in is easier said than done.
Top 25 to draw from Indy? Sure it would help. But would even a top 25 team draw 8000 against MAC competition? And would it take consistent annual showings in the rarefied air to draw people and build that kind of following? I think that was the dream when we built Worthen, but I continue to think too much has changed to make it possible now, apart from the difficulty achieving that goal on the court.

Between 89 and 2003 we are generally considered to have had good teams and averaged about 21 wins. In those days we were able to attract a few better non conference opponents to Worthen and played better OOC foes.
During that period we drew a little over 6000 with some of that in Irving gym but would be harder today to equal that even with the same level performance against our current schedule.

Did we ever draw 5000 when Whit was winning close to twenty?
