"From 2000-15, Meeks was out of coaching after a 2000 arrest during a recruiting trip in Chicago. Police charged Meeks with soliciting a prostitute and drug possession and resigned from Butler. Meeks then had two charges were dropped with the third acquitted."
But did he sign the recruit?

I think good? But this? "From 2000-15, Meeks was out of coaching after a 2000 arrest during a recruiting trip in Chicago. Police charged Meeks with soliciting a prostitute and drug possession and resigned from Butler. Meeks then had two charges were dropped with the third acquitted."

Which of the three charges was acquitted? The resign from Butler charge, the drug charge or the prostitution charge?

Not too worried about something that happened 22 years ago. Sounds like the last 7 years he’s been coaching and not getting in trouble.
I mean I know we like to live in the past, but I think we all agree 22 years is a whole different era.

Paying for sex and using drugs are nothing to brag about, but (assuming it's not one of the really stupid drugs) they are not necessarily disqualifiers either. It's possible to mature and outgrow drug usage and excessive sex drive. I'm a lot more bothered by the being-stupid-enough-to-get-caught aspect. That sort of thing is often a life sentence.
Of course, I know nothing at all about the whole affair, other than what Herman posted.

So, that wasn't the Butler Way?
Look, I understand the guy's quandary. You're on a tight schedule and you need some companionship and you want that companion to enjoy the same things you do. You don't have time to build a relationship but there's always time to dial up 1-800-HOOKERS.
And you guys were concerned the administration would never go for a guy like John Brannen because a few kids passed out during drills. The BSU administration is much more opened minded than you think.
