I forget I’m talking to midwesterners sometimes on here. Could you be more pretentious? My guess is "Yes." I grew up in Muncie Indiana. Then I moved away and started traveling the world. A $10 bj and an un-prosecutable amount of drugs 22 years ago does not bother me at all. People in Muncie objected to the movie theater selling beer. People in Muncie protest my friend’s haunted house. People in Muncie are often puritanical and naïve. |

Judge not lest ye be judged. Luckily I also don’t believe in fairy tales so I’m not religious and judge people pretty regularly. And you seem to be an out of touch geezer. |

I doubt it's a big risk, but Meeksie has to probably tone it down a little for Muncie. Going to be a contrast to Botts, hope they work well together. Ahhhhh. Isn't that the cutest thing ever? He's got a precious little IU nickname for our new assistant coach. I hope they hurry up and get that BSU basketball forum up and running on Peegs.com....before I vomit all over my keyboard. I don't know, Coach used that nickname in practice in 1989 as I recall. Knight and Felling and Joby were a lot of things but not exactly cute and precious.
A good number of IU fans of that era left Peegs, might be back for Woody though, I suppose. If you want, I could check and see if my mod credentials still work, but there is some doubt we'll see a BSU forum over there. If we did it would do nothing but help our Program visibility.
In any case, speaking of toning it down, that problem with your keyboard perhaps has the plus of toning you down a bit...

I’ve been following this board for many years, but rarely posted. BSU grad class of ‘82. Same with my bride. Attended many games in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. Went to both NCAA games in 1989 and traveled to Chicago in 1990 for Illinois’ holiday tourney where we blew a 10 point lead with 5 min to play. I’m disappointed how much this board detests TSIB. My mom grew up in Bloomington (only way my grandpa could afford to send his family to college) & met my dad there. Siblings went to IU. So, I don’t hate IU. However, my loyalty is with BSU. I watched 90% of their games this year. Plan to head to Muncie next year for at least a couple of games (3 hour drive). Just wish this message board wasn’t so judgmental to those of us that haven’t been regular posters. Obviously, there is a level of excitement with this much needed change of coaches. Sure hope to meet some of you next season in Muncie! |

This has nothing to do with how often or how little you post. For whatever reason he started piping off about the Midwest and muncie and making bread generalizations about entire groups of people and community. If he had just called Sherm or sweep an asshole no one would have batted an eye. As far as IU it's a great school. Great academics and a good time to visit. The problem is there obnoxious fans this is not different than most big 10 schools. Ohio State fans are actually much worse.
