Wichita State's 6' 8" 235 lb. PF, M. Udeze 10.2 PPG 6.1 REB is in the transfer portal. Since Wichita State is one of Thomas's suitors, maybe we could just trade Thomas for Udeze? |

I predict Thomas comes back. Just based on the fact that it's a pain in the ass to uproot oneself, and that the program seems about 500 times more interesting to be a part of compared to when he made the decision to leave.

Word at tge time was he was leaving to try some pro ball. Now that seems to have changed. I believe he has graduated already and is just done at BSU

I’m curious what “heard from “ means in the context of players in the portal. Like, does it mean “hey we see you,” or, “ we’re maybe interested” or are there offers?

I think it means just that, "heard from". Hey, we're interested and are going to do some evaluation. Don't make any commitments until we've reviewed your films and etc. I'm thinking all schools have someone sitting around and going through all the players that enter the portal and then if the see someone that fits their needs they send out this kind of text or e-mail. Basically no different than all the "snail mail" that high school kids used to get that meant very, very little, it just got your school name out in front of the kid and other kids. Just my thought. If the player had said they had been offered by a school, that's different, but interest ain't a huge deal, to me. I wonder how many offers our kids actually had while they were in the portal or if it was all just "heard froms". |

I'm guessing mostly heard from, with caveats of "if so and so leaves, we want you to come in." I'm waiting for a kid to start the "blessed and honored to hear from" tweets while in the portal |

Plus the fact that there is nearly 1,200 players already in the portal and we have another three weeks for more to enter. Getting a one year guy for a program probably is not as attractive for many coaches. His size is a plus, but his stats are marginal. I like the kid and believe that it would be good for him to stay, but there are probably limited opportunities for him. Either way, I wish him the best. |

I’d say that might be partially true but if he played for the last 1/2 of the Big 10 I’m not so sure! He is long, can rebound, and is a reasonable shooter from deep!
