Well, looks like no TV for this series. It's either because:
A) It's Akron
B) It's Easter Weekend
I gotta go with B, because Akron has improved quite a bit in their 2nd season back in MAC Baseball. Sabo is building a solid program.

BSU takes the opener 8-3. They took full advantage of atrocious Akron fielding. 6 unearned runs.

Through 15 conference games, Cards have 9 starters batting .298 and above. Team average is .322 to opponent average of .217
9 conference games in these next 10 days. Still can't fathom the thought process to this by MAC officials.

Yowzer! 16-0 Cards in game 2 of DH. 4 dingers.
Don't get too excited. Only two MAC teams have winning baseball records. Cards have 2 conference losses and trail CMU by 1/2 game.

I don't disagree with you, but this team has a nice make-up to it for the 4-team tournament at the end of the season for an NCAA bid. Schweitzer is becoming dominant, but we are also deep in terms of pitching (not always consistently high-performing, but getting better) and have a solid closer. Our lineup could give pitching staffs fits in a tournament setting. |

Bad game 4 loss. Akron didn’t even need a hit in the 9th to get winning run across. Bsu bats just didn’t show up today. A shame to drop one to a really bad team.

Dropped game 4 WP in 9th. Western make-up game Tues Akron wins 4-3. Two of Akron's runs come with 2 outs. The other two were scored on wild pitches. BSU is giving up a lot of runs on wild pitches and two out situations this season. Gotta close out an inning. Tuesday's WMU game is critical. |

Disappointing for sure, especially at home and in the fashion that we lost. We are playing for the tournament now, IMO. My gut says we showed up to the park expecting Akron to roll over. Hopefully this game serves as a bit of a kick in the pants. |

Sam has, I think, 10 WPs in 20 innings pitched. He is a high strikeout pitcher, so maybe that comes with the territory. Seems like a high percentage.
