Reason I don't give a crap about pro basketball:
10 year study on home advantage in playoff series.... NBA 73% NHL 59% NFL 59% MLB 51%

So many times it's just a joke with how things play out.

I thought they had a pretty good season. PG showed everybody that he is the real deal and Myles Turner is only going to get better. Free agency is going to be interesting. Solo Hill deserves to be resigned as does Mahemi. Mahemi set a franchise field goal record with 59% and was a double guy 35 times this season. He might have played himself out of Indiana with his season. Ellis, George Hill and Stuckey should stay but the rest?
Earning that homecourt advantage in the NBA is huge. Pacers for sure got jobbed in the fourth quarter tonight but IMO it was expected. Next year will be interesting.

Pacers lost so many games late. They could have gotten a 4 or 5 seed had they won even just a few of them. That game in Boston a month or two ago was embarrassing. Anyway, Turner will be a star and Mahimni is playing better than I thought he ever could. Their bench needs to be improved. It's not like they were championship caliber though.
Looking forward to what they can do next year.

There is talk of Vogel moving on. I have mixed thoughts about that. I do think Bird gave him a crappy bench to work with.

totally agree about Vogel's rotations and his slow reaction time to how things are going on the floor. He totally misread the temperature of game 5. No way in hell that should have been a loss.

Wait...... Indy still has an NBA franchise? Huh. The things you learn on the message board!

Yes the board is just another advantage of a good Ball State experience at a university that prides itself on preparing students for life long learning.

I think Larry Bird is questionable at best as a GM. It has been since 2008 since we have had a real point guard. We can question Vogel's decisions but IMO Bird has a lot of them if not more. Get PG and Turner some talent!
