I don’t care where he goes other than another MAC school. Hey it would increase attendance when his team visits. Bring him on! He'll be guarded well by bigger quicker players, if he's a factor at all. Hope he's happy with a less profane coach who knows more than Lewis about finding good shooters good shots. The profanity part I can see as possible...

This is like a Tik Tok version of Dawson’s Creek. You just can’t wait for the next episode.

I must say that I notice a certain amount of peevishness on this board towards Luke Brown. I think this is ungrateful. During the death throes of the Whitford era (possibly the dullest 9 years any program has ever experienced), the Luke phenomenon brought us Tik Tok girl, a local mafia facebook page, a typically stupid but uncharacteristically amusing series of columns by the bonehead Indy Star sports writer, significantly increased attendance for a few games, and he generally livened up a season that was otherwise yet another total waste of a year.
through the whole thing, I don't remember Luke himself doing or saying one single thing that was truly objectionable. Yes, his attempts at dancing on Tik Tok were pretty embarrassing...but yet understandable. When I was 18, a chick of that hotness level could have easily talked me into crawling 5 miles over broken glass, or any doing number of other ill-advised things.
Also Luke Brown is, for better or worse, a unique sort of player and thus it's not surprising that it might be difficult for him to find his best college fit.
Let's have some perspective on Luke Brown.

You forgot the pig farm video. His being here brought us that as well. That was another fun highlight of the year.
I know for me personally I have nothing directed toward Luke Brown the person. It's always been toward Luke Brown the brand (and mostly the Luke Brown hangers on). They are particularly amusing to me. The kid himself seems like a pretty likeable fellow and I wish him well.

For me it wasn’t about the kid, it was about the sideshow and the hype (bsu fell into that trap too). It was almost like we were sold a bill of goods even though many of us were skeptical, and none of that was Brown’s fault. (He’s not innocent in the whole branding thing). The adults failed him in a lot of ways by propping him up as a future dominator of d1 college basketball/basketball god. He’s just a kid. He had a great career at a very small school playing against other very small schools. He may yet have a really good college career but so far he’s just been erstwhile. I hope he finds a place where he and the coach and teammates are on board and he prospers. That wasn’t the case with Whitford/teammates and then Lewis for whatever reasons. I will say he’s gotta get beyond “I was told I’d get x playing time/his hangers on getting the idea “Luke was done wrong”” type stuff. Enough of the nonsense, just go to school somewhere to get the degree and just play ball. He does need to understand that unless he goes to a strongly religious affiliated school very few programs will have whatever perfect environment he’s looking for.

Well he could go to Liberty where Falwell and Larry Flint would be on the welcoming committee.

Legacy media journalists just seem to be incapable of stating things forthrightly. Doyle:
"Luke Brown chose Ball State not merely for the geography, but to play for James Whitford. When Whitford was fired after the 2021-22 season, more than half the Ball State roster entered the portal. Brown was the last to go."
Trying to create the impression that Whitford's firing precipitated a mass exodus. As we know, one was leaving prior to Whitford being fired and two (the only really valuable ones) came back to Lewis. That pretty much negates the fraudulent point Doyle is making for anyone still gullible to take him seriously. But Doyle was presenting a pro-Brown narrative and the narrative is everything in modern journalism.
I can now barely remember the names of the players that did leave after Whitford was canned.
