Major men's sports get the attention, but we have had a pretty good record over time in the non revenue sports.

RPI moved to 69 this evening.
Playing such a large conference schedule hurt the schools from getting a potential at-large bid.
Another example of the exemplarily MAC leadership decisions.

BSU was the only MAC team to not play mid-week OOC games. I believe this will hurt them with the NCAA selection committee.

Let’s hope we have that selection committee discussion later. 😎

Not enough pitching for midweek games PLUS 4-game weekend series. We still played our non-conference games pre-season and at Oregon. It was the right strategy. We wouldn't be league champs and hosting the tourney had we scheduled midweek games.

I doubt that would move the needle with the selection committee What you are not saying is the fact that both of those teams had more mid-week OOC games scheduled. They were cancelled mainly for weather reasons and to accommodate make-up games, Neither program started the season with the list of mid-week games that you indicated. Case in point, CMU was supposed to play at Notre Dame and Michigan State, but those games were dropped mainly because of weather.

Thought that our two volleyball teams with proper promotion etc. could somewhat close the non-revenue gap The attendance was approaching that of men's basketball and football on those ESPN nights in Nov. The womens basketball team needs some serious hype They are really good and inspiring. If I was a girls high school coach my team would being seeing the Ball State team on tape, TV and in person. We used to have high school band day at football games why not have a high school girls basketball day at one of the Ball State Women's games. Maybe they would come back later for a game and buy a ticket. We currently have various school leagues attending some games. Very difficult to have one big night like band day because of league schedules. Current prices for Women's games are 5.00 and 8.00 dollars. I would raise the prices to a flat 10.00 probably would not still be enough to pay the light bill. Just some thoughts.
