Big difference between +6.5 and +7.5. For the non-gamblers it is all about W and L. We have played well vs WMU recently, I hope it continues!

I do not see this young team giving up. The players will play hard and represent well. I think this game will end with the winner by no more than 10 points. I give us a 45% at of winning.

Just finished watching the replay of the Western VS MSU game. Western looks good. Their freshman Qi looked really good. They will be a stiff test.

Just finished watching the replay of the Western VS MSU game. Western looks good. Their freshman Qi looked really good. They will be a stiff test. As a TD favorite on the road, that is more than a stiff test. Western responded well to the pressure of their first road game and I don't think we can count on them overlooking this game or taken out by the home crowd. I had hoped Western wasn't quite so good and it was going to be a dog fight, one the home field might make the difference. But the evidence for that is not there.
Instead this is a game where we need to play at a near peak early in the season and a game where we probably need to get some breaks and not just avoid mistakes to play even. An enthusiastic home crowd may help, but great preparation is needed, tough early in the season.
The obvious is that if we can do the job it may prove something and a loss leaves us in a big hole.
