We are doing a Royal Caribbean 10 day cruise in early January. I am a cheapskate as we sneak booze onto the trip by disguising in wine bottles. We can’t wait to get out of this shitty weather. We leave on the 4th. 9 day cruise for us. A condo in Florida for the week was going to cost roughly 4 grand that’s just for lodging. This cruise will cost the 4 of us around 2. They throw in a couple drink packages and other perks. The only other thing we have to purchase is my son an internet package cause we would all die if he did not have it. We also get to see some other countries which my kids love. I’ll probably book a couple excursions which will add to it but still it will be cheaper than Florida. I’m content sitting at home and going to a couple BSU games but it’s not worth the fight so a cruising we will go Cruises are our vacation every spring break. Food and lodging is taken care of. The drink packages on the other hand……give me a Miami Vice! |

CSU just killed us with offensive rebounds.
They have 2 or 3 quality players, Johnson got hot, kept them in the game, but couldn't hit at end.
Dreadful FT%.

After the game Lewis said something like they are learning how to win! Shrugged shoulders and said we practice our free throws!
Other than that good mark in the win column. The 9-4 is a bit surprising and knowing how they lost back to back buzzer beaters.
Cards could be pretty good and the first 3 MAC will let them see how they stack up!

If we don't start hitting some free throws at a higher % we are going to be in a world of hurt in the MAC. Still worried about Sparks in particular. I had some doubts about our pre-conference schedule, but I think it has been a good preparation for us. It was great to see Boogie play well tonight.
Loved seeing a BSU Head Coach finally showing true emotion and coaching throughout this season to date. Go Cards!

I like the fact that we played two scrappy, tough-nosed teams that play good D over break.
Our roster is very soft overall. I feel like Lewis is getting everything out of them he possibly can right now.
Coleman had a good offensive first half. He's just not a good defensive player.
Sellers can really turn it on.
I'm not loving Sparks' game right now.
I feel like Jacobs most represents the type of player Lewis wants.

Agree on the holiday schedule, in fact the total pre conf scheduled minus Earlham and IUSB have all been good games/teams for this Ball State team. Just the right amount of equableness between the teams for BSU to learn something to make them a better team whether we won or lost. I think our roster is tougher than last year, which granted isn’t saying much, but I’ll say it again, if Shitbird is coaching this same team against this schedule we probably are sub .500 at this point. I think our toughness pulled us through some of these wins. I think Sparks is okay, hasn’t improved as much over last year but teams are keying in on him and figuring him out so his game is down some as a result. I still think he’s a big piece of the puzzle bc the focus on him is opening up the game for guys like Seller and Person. Lastly I think Sellers is the kind of player Lewis wants bc he can light it up, play D and has high energy and can change the game. All said we’re trending well now let’s see how we do in the MAC! |
