another lewis Highlite. We start the second half give up 5 quick points. He takes a timeout and looks pretty calm as he waits firctgecteam. After everyone is sitting his head turns bright red and proceeds to murder a clipboard. Shrapnel everywhere lol Let's to be honest - that second half was brutal. He had every right to be irate. Jihad, Jacobs, Pearson and Sellers had good games, though Sellers lost his shooting touch in the 2nd half. Sparks had a decent game too. Coleman couldn't have been much worse today. I have a feeling we are going to see more zone D the rest of the season.

Second half was brutal and it didn't help that both Jacobs and Coleman had 4 fouls with something like 9 minutes left. Beginning to think we're worse off with Jacobs or Coleman in foul trouble than we are if Sparks is in foul trouble. Certainly it's a disadvantage either way.
Even though we continued to have the advantage at the FT line, most of that was in the first half. Miami was in the bonus sooner than were in the second half, but they just couldn't take advantage at the either the FT or three-point line.
Gotta say, I feel bad for Bum. I don't think he should be playing more than he is; in fact was surprised he played as much as he did today. I just want the kid to see a shot or 2 go down. We talked about how Sparks FT shooting was mental, and I think Bum's 3P shooting has entered that realm. He looks totally uncomfortable shooting the ball. Thankfully, still looks decent at the FT line.

I felt bad for Bum on those two 3-pointers that weren't even in the right zip code too, and I agree, it has to be mental. He's not an elite shooter by any means, but he ought to be able to knock down open looks in rhythm. Luke only shot 61% from the FT line last year, though.

My goodness. 5550 attendance! It's been years since we've had that. I love the improvement I see in Jihad. I never saw this athleticism in him last year. 12 points and 6 rebounds in 14 points. I'd like to see more of him.

A woman next to me in the ticket line told the ticket office this was her first game in years. I brought an old roommate of mine who said this was his first game since we were students.
Good crowd but not very engaged in the second half.

Good crowd but not very engaged in the second half. The second half was sloppy and boring. They were really into it against Akron.

I'd like to see more of him. They must've just guessed the attendance for the Akron game, then, because they added it to the box score like 2 days later and it was only 3,400. It seemed to me there were more at the Akron game than the Miami game - or at least about the same.

Was fortunate to have seats today near the bench. I can second Rob’s comments about the “clipboard” timeout. Lewis was livid.
I think Windham might have found his way in the doghouse today. Missed a help situation in the first half & Lewis pulled him. Bumb was 1st guard substituted in during 2nd half. When Windham finally got back in, Miami was cutting into lead. Windham drove into the lane and got his shot blocked. Lewis yanked him and screamed at him “Do you think that was a f@ck in’ good shot??” Did not get back in. Was impressed how hard Sparks played in the 2nd half. Going against a 300+ pounder is not easy.Jihad’s development has been fun! Hope Sparks & Jihad play more together.

Is Sparks right hamstring in pretty good shape? I was a little concerned when I first saw him reach for it.
