Yes, they did. I think it was at half time. Showed a picture of him in a Ball State uniform and said something I didn't know and that was that Hoke was a walk on. Four year letterman, but a walk on. Talked about Hoke normally always has some walk ons that play and listed four for this year at SDSU. Pretty good publicity there, too.

Getting a lot of BSU publicity on UCLA game tonight as they talk about Steele last year and his alligator crap and how Chip plucked him from the portal. We could start using the portal as a media marketing tool 🤔 Was just telling Calhoun about every single thing you just said. We miss Steele greatly. He got most of his yards on his own. The guys we have now have not been able to do that yet. Running plays have been pretty much dead as soon as our backs get the ball. Let’s get a few more games under our belt, and into the MAC season, before we make that conclusion. Our line and RB’s went up against two SEC defenses and SEC defenses are notoriously tough from top to bottom. FWIW Steele had 11 carries for 27 yards against Tennessee last season. I don’t care how good a back you are, you aren’t going anywhere when the Dline is in your backfield as much as they have been in ours the first two games.

I agree we need to see more games but tge oline last year was not great. Coach johnson confirmed this himself on the pregame show this past weekend. We were pretty decent at pass blocking but we also had the qbs doing alot of quick passes run blocking was where we really struggled. Steele made alot of those 1700 yards on his own

I thought Yankoff might get some action against Utah. But I see ucla gave the ball to TJ Harden the most times.
Oh well. I guess Harden comes before Yankoff
