I’m not saying change anything with women’s basketball but I basically mean that we should forget about football; we have zero chance to do anything other than play in a second rate bowl game every 3-5 years.
We need to do an Indiana State or Butler and put our chips on basketball!!

Butler made that financial commitment at the perfect time. Sustained it for decades now.
I'll reserve judgment whether ISU has done more than 1 coach who leaves soon. I don't see them likely becoming a real power.
We had the perfect time 25 years ago. Who knows what was possible. More than MAC success?
It's not now about opportunity of becoming a national power as much as a necessity.

I’ve read that Butlers rise to prominence began when their university president made the commitment to build a successful and sustainable basketball program. Does anyone know how did Butlers budget change when they made this decision?
I suspect their success owes more to the good coaching hires their long-term AD Barry Collier has made over the years (Matta, Licklighter, Stevens)

Through 9 games Kaiyem Cleary is averaging 12.4 ppg, shooting 43.7% FG and 37.1% on 3's;
Through 9 games Luke Bumbalough is averaging 7.6 ppg, shooting 38.5% FG and 33.3% on 3's;
Through 11 games Jalen Windham has yet to play in a game; however, he is still listed on the roster. Cannot find any news regarding a possible injury;

The most surprising thing that really jumps out to me is that Sellers is only shooting 26% from 3.

Sellers was truly the biggest loss as many of us saw him with the most upside. Imagine him with a few of our others this season??!!

I can imagine quite a large number of hypothetical BSU rosters that I would prefer to the actual. For that matter, I could also point to around 170 actual mid-major or low-major rosters this year that I would prefer to ours. To complete the thought, I would take about 35 of the last 38 BSU basketball rosters in a trade. Recruiting has consequences.

Morehead St leads IU 36 to 25 at halftime. Sparks got a few minutes in the first half. Used them to pick-up 2 personal fouls and zero points.
No Windham sighting thus far and Morehead has played 9.

Sparks game has regressed beyond recognition. It’s really unbelievable how bad he looks. Windham was on Morehead’s bench. The announcers mentioned they had several injured players. Sparks gave him a big hug in the handshake line after the game.

Nothing remotely close to watch we were use to seeing of last year. It was kind of embarrassing looking.
