Great game, but a bit concerning Lewis is only playing a 7 man rotation. Seems like he burned-out and injured his core last season and could be repeating the same mistake in 2023-24. Really needs to find a few minutes for Bell and Doughty. In today's portal driven environment, Doughty will probably transfer after this season if he doesn't start to see some playing time. On the other hand, based on the development of Jihad and Hendriks, Doughty could develop into an effective front court player at BSU if they can retain him. I doubt Lewis continues the 7 man. That changes when Bailey is back. Doughty hasn't been ready but will be. By end of season more likely 9 man... I hope you are correct. I would really like to see what Doughty can do with some decent playing time. |

I would really like to see what Doughty can do with some decent playing time. He's a banger has to get used to D1. Will not blow us away with skills but do what we'll need on the boards, |

Doughty has to play his way into shape and he’s just not prepared for the speed and physicality of the game. Like most freshman big men in mid major basketball, the leap is much bigger than it is for guards and wings. He’s not transferring anywhere because he’s still a bit of a project. He reminds me of Basheer who was also not ready for prime time as a freshman. I think Zane will struggle to get many meaningful minutes in conference unless we get in foul trouble or someone gets injured, God forbid. He has a big frame but he is a tad awkward and very unsure when he’s in. I think our main rotation is eight once Bailey comes back. Bell is Kaiyem. Freakishly athletic and as stable as nitro glycerin. |

First game I’ve made it to this season and I had forgotten how entertaining Lewis is on the sideline. At half time Charlie Cardinal was high fiving the team on their way to the locker room and when he saw Lewis gesticulating angrily to an assistant coach Charlie gtfo of the way.

First game I’ve made it to this season and I had forgotten how entertaining Lewis is on the sideline. At half time Charlie Cardinal was high fiving the team on their way to the locker room and when he saw Lewis gesticulating angrily to an assistant coach Charlie gtfo of the way. He is entertaining as hell, but he’s gotta chill a bit. He loses his composure when he gets upset. He’s not gonna make it to 50 if he doesn’t keep flipping out! |
