What if sparks does not return to what he was I have that concern myself. But I think with regular work, role definition and conditioning he’ll be fine. Dominant? We’ll see. really needed jihad and Bailey to take pressure off.

What if sparks does not return to what he was It's pretty rare for a player to be worse as a senior than a sophomore unless an injury is involved. I guess in the case of Sparks there is the precedent that he suddenly became an absolutely terrible free throw shooter as a sophomore, after being average as a freshman and HS player...so who knows? Still, any MAC coach these days would kill to be able to base their frontcourt around a proven MAC producer on the order of 13/9/59%. Of course, the point will be moot if Lewis doesn't come up with some quality guards from the portal

TSIB ruins much of which it touches.

Good rebounder, will score inside, can pass out of post. Should be excellent screener, decent on pick and roll, at least use it to get post position, offense rebound opportunity.
In the MAC will draw double team and fouls. We'll see some hack a shaq defense, but one point a possession not terrible, and getting into the bonus would help other players.
Very limited on defense, but against our competition how many big guys can stretch the floor and hurt us?
There should be shooters available in the portal, but we'll need improved D, and PG play. A good 3 and D player would be a home run.

TSIB ruins much of which it touches. No way he could demand double team in the B10. And no way he could guard players his size who could play outside. Strictly a behind the post defensive player in that competition. His FT%, his D, his weakness on both ends with P&R, all were too big a liability for extended minutes against top competition. IU wanted to get away from inside out and post play. Poor fit. In the MAC he proved he could play.

I missed the mention of Jihad. That should tell Jihad something. Like Sparks at IU, he will be a practice dummy. Play little, score less. He will lose all the positive attraction he received at Ball U. Sad!

Didn't realize ASU was coached by Bobby Hurley. Their season ended in a train wreck last year. Went 3-10 from mid-January on. They have quite a class coming in and as noted, Basheer is not even mentioned in the article. It feels like Sparks 2.0 at IU. Agree to come and by the time you hit campus you're already fifth on the depth chart. Hope he can find a niche and some PT. He's a good human.

Basheer hopefully gets alot of money as I like you guys don't think he will get much playing time at Arizona St probably about equal to his brother at EMU. (EMU had 10 players at last count in the portal so his brother may be leaving there)
