I, for one, am glad the university has finally decided to impose some control on the BSU fanbase, which has been out of hand for a long time with thuggish, lewd and wanton behavior in the Gold lot and elsewhere. How'd you get that group pic of us? You'll see the same bunch at basketball games. The walker converts into a beerbong. It'll hold two Coors Light Tallboys.

Your $10 box seat voucher used to be good for two beers. Now they are $9 bucks. Thanks Kamala. (Eyeroll). The university reclaimed the concessions from a third-party vendor and set their own pricing. I believe there's still a package available from Guardian.

Is that what Mitchell thinks is part of this revamped "experience?" Or is that something the University is doing and it's out of his hands? We cannot get out of our own way. We are constantly stepping on racks (our own dicks) At the rate we're going there will be no BSU football in about 5 years or so after we're so deep in the financial hole and not remotely competitive in the new landscape of "college" football. I'm hoping it isn't BSU but rather the new security company (CSC). We've never had a real security company before. Just the baseball team or other students. We'll see what happens. CVC will be getting enough calls about it from upset people. Hell they don't even need security in the Gold Lot. Nothing wild ever happens there. I only set the parking lot on fire by accident once. Nothing to see here. Go patrol the wild side of Tillotson. I've seen the CSC yellowjackets (read that how you want) at the Arena for a few years. They seem to serve mostly to keep the riffraff out of the courtside seats that snowbirds aren't using and couldn't give away. Better to have those empty, I guess.

We went to an Indians game this summer and there were people in our seats. The row behind them was empty, so the usher suggested we just sit there. That was fine, but then a lady showed up for the seats we were in. The usher suggested she find an open seat, which she did, but she also made a lot of loud comments about why buy a ticket with an assigned seat if she doesn't get that seat, etc. etc. etc. I was uncomfortable. So while I agree it's silly to have all the close seats empty while also being unavailable, it's not like there can just be a free for all.

Those people are not CSC security people and last year they did nothing to keep people from sitting anywhere at Worthen.

Nor did they lift a finger to stop Western from beating us with a 94 foot bounce pass at the buzzer.

The tailgate issue has been resolved. As I suspected it was the overzealous rookie security company. Not BSU or CVC.

As a remote outsider who can only go by the comments I read on here, it appears like Tailgating at Ball State is a puzzle that just seems too hard for the school administration to crack.

Easy 10,000 people tailgating that never go into the game during family weekend and homecoming.

But why were there not meetings in advance to cover do's and don'ts with the contractor and why was there no oversight of said contractor the day of? BSU just continues to alienate what little fan base it has left.

BSU just continues to alienate what little fan base it has left. A few years after I had graduated I was at a game with some friends and as we were walking around what is now the general admission section I pointed to the nice walkway they had constructed in front of the bleachers and all the nice brick and everything and wondered to my friend why they didn't allow people to walk there. They've now opened it up but when it was first constructed they had temporary metal gates with security blocking it during games. I made eye contact with a security guard who was standing at the gate while I was pointing at it. The security guard followed us for a bit then poked me on the shoulder and asked to search my pockets. I had no contraband so nothing came of it, but it was all very weird and off-putting.

My big issue was not allowing bringing in your own chair back seats. You had to rent one. BSU said tha I couldn't use my own for safety reasons My chai was safer than the flimsy ones that were being rented. I think now they are allowing you to sue your own chair.
