As low as my enthusiasm is for Cardinal football this year, there is a game tomorrow and while I will be at the Miami vs ND game tomorrow, I’ll still keep an eye on the Cardinal score. MAC game. Should be competitive, but will it.. my faith in Neu and his coaching still is very, very low. However. I will always support the guys in Cardinal and White. Go Cards.

Pre-game conference. www.youtube.com/watch?v=d93LSvzXvUUI found it ironic that through a good part of the early minutes of the conference you hear the beeping of a truck backing up. Mike PLEASE stop tapping to podium!

His assessment of the Miami game was the obvious we were out of our league. Said we have to clean up parts of our game which has been a staple of these assessments. Every team has to clean up stuff but in our case it is just dumb stuff that players and coaches alike have done. Miscommunication? QB has a radio in his ear and poor play calling fourth and four and four on our own forty five or 48 yard line and we pass incomplete giving MIami a cake walk into the end zone. We are given a 32% chance of beating Central. I think another MAC team will embarrass badly this season with a big score. OUr pass defense is really bad as Missouri showed us in the fourth quarter. Toledo should be ranked. Miss. State pass defense is worse than ours.

Here are some fun facts I was just emailed about the BSU/CMU rivalry from BSU Sports. I'll share since many of you might not get these emails.
Saturday's 57th meeting between the Cardinals and the Chippewas follows a pair of Ball State victories in 2022 and 2023. Ball State leads the back-and-forth series 28-27-1, claiming victory in four of the past six games.
Ball State has averaged 176 rushing yards over its past six outings against Central Michigan.
Kelly/Shorts Stadium has been friendly territory for Ball State in recent decades. Since 2008, Ball State has captured wins in seven of their eight games in Mount Pleasant.
Closely contested games have been the norm in Ball State’s recent winning efforts against Central Michigan. Three of the last four Cardinal victories in the series have been decided by one score.

I think we win by 10. Feeling lucky today. Maybe that’s because a fortune cookie from the former Red Sun Buffet on Wheeling told me to “trust my gut”.

This is probably Miami's best team in 20+ years and Cam Ward is the Heisman front runner so the outcome was unlikely to be different...however it was more troubling to see some of the old issues emerge, including play-calling, bad RPO decisions by the QB and more specifically complete early abandonment of the run which is supposed to be our strength given we have an experienced offensive line and two RB's who were dominant during camp...Mike was rightly questioned about that after the game...that kind of inconsistency causes identity problems because you don't know who you are...that is the question that has to be answered today...I think they are going to come out snorting and stomping today...high character teams and people (coaches and players) usually respond to what happened last weekend...

Are we allergic to handing the ball off to a RB when we are goal to go?

How do you not run your route past the line to gain on 4th down. Good lord.

Yeah Magwood messed up there. Should have tried to draw them offsides there, then punted. We had all the momentum there, now we might lose some.

Sometimes wish Mike wouldn’t go for it. Always give up big plays after laying a dud on 4th down

What is our 4th down success %? Now 1/5. Sometimes you just gotta let stats help call your plays
