Give ESPN credit. They knew Jeremy's story and really talked him up last night.

Pitchers are on to him so he'll need to make counter adjustments now

Jeremy ended a rough stretch by hitting a pinch hit homer for the Cardinals which was the game winning hit. It ended a 9 game 0 for 17 stretch at the plate. His batting average is .311 with 4 homers & 10 rbis. He has spent most of the past week just getting a pinch hit appearance with two late defensive appearances after pinch hitting as was the case last night.

2/2 pinch hitting last night with 3 RBIs (13), his 5th homer and a triple.
7th in HRs and 19th in RBIs in all of MLB. Not enough ABs for avg and slugging ranks.

A 2/4 game last night on television against the Dbacks. Started at lead off. Now at .321
enough ABs to qualify as 16th in NL

I don't like the Cards in St. Louis either but Jeremy is a BALL STATER, so go Jeremy go. I will admit a couple years ago went to the new Busch Stadium for a night game with the Cubs. Beautiful park, nice evening weather and the fans treated me very well.

I'm not close enough to it but it looks like St.Louis is holding Jeremy out against left hand pitching. A PH yesterday and 1/4 today. Batting .317

Did someone from St.Louis come back from a DL? Jeremy only being used sparingly as a PH.

No they are playing Holladay in left not at first base. Tommy Pham just this week started rehab at Memphis. They will have a decision to make within ten days what they are going to do between Pham & Jeremy. I think based on the record they may be checking the trade values of the two as they both appear to be major league hitters. Pham is certainly the player they have big hopes for. We will see what happens & will know probably within two weeks. Jeremy did not help himself with 2 errors in the outfield in his last start.

Jeremy hits hr 6 today but had a bad week and his average drops below .300 now at .297. Hopefully the homer will start him on a good week.

Jeremy hit his 3rd pinch hit homer last night # 7 which ties for the club lead. His average is at .282 with 18 rbis in 85 abs. He is going to have a hard time getting at bats the way Cards outfield looks at the same time Tommy Pham is not hitting in Memphis & I don't think he will come up. However Jeremy is getting only a start a week and pinch hitting most of the other games the past two weeks.

If he can keep hitting well as a pinch he'll make himself very valuable long term. Every club needs a reliable pinch hitter, especially one that can hit fir power.
