His whole dramatic, androgynous dance/funk thing is not really my cup of tea, but I have some respect for him as someone who thought for himself and went all the way with his own unique vision. RIP
I did like the Raspberry Beret video where he comes strutting out in a sky-blue-with-clouds suit. You can pretty much count on your fingers the number of men who could pull off that look successfully. Let's see...there's Prince, Chris Shelton....uh....that's about it.

I like only a few of his songs, but he was an incredibly talented musician and songwriter. He wrote tons of songs for himself and others, and could play dozens of instruments. I have a lot of respect for what he accomplished.

I've heard that Prince songs were voted the favorites by exotic dancers the world over......"easy to dance to" was the overwhelming comment.
