Haro faces 8 batters in first and gives up 7 earned runs........ Cards down 8-2 after 1st inning
I guess I saw that coming with Haro getting the start.

Now 10-2. This season appears to be over, boys. Getting run off the field by an 11 win team.

....in such an important series, knowing your pitching is "suspect", how do you leave a guy in long enough to get tagged with 7 ER in the first inning?

Watching the game on ESPN 3, they weren't hitting him hard in the first. A bunch of "seeing eye" singles. I think he left the mound having given up five with two still on base.

In baseball, so much is about luck and mojo (don't eff with a streak). Right now this team is lacking both of those things. They aren't getting 'the' key hit, pitchers aren't getting that rally stopping out. And their chins are down. Getting beat up by a team as bad as Toledo makes it doubly worse. These guys really need some things to bounce their way all at once and get rolling again. Hard to believe this is the same crew that beat LSU like they did.

According to the live stats I watched, he gave up 7 hits in 8 batters faced. That's a lot of seeing eyes or incredibly bad luck. Regardless, even if bad luck, a coach can't let a team get down that much, that early, in a crucial seed game. cards scored 7 runs in 2 consecutive games and lost both.

Our pitching staff is absolutely pathetic. These guys need to have their scholarships yanked and go pitch at Taylor or Indiana Wesleyan.

Well, still a chance to finish in 1st in the west. Need a win and an Eastern win. Would be a lift for sure. Appears pitching will limit any serious advancement in the tourney though.
Go Cards!

Yep, pitching will not allow for any success in the tourney. Need a major turn in fortunes again and see if we can get jump started.

Game 3
Butler starting. Wondering if Burns is hurt sine he didn't start any of the last 4 games. That would be devastating.
