While I am no as optimistic as you guys, I am looking forward to next year. Still to many question marks for me to expect a lot. I don't really care what we are ranked I just want a successful MAC season and some wins in the MAC tourney, quarter finals at least This is a good point. For example, that 2004-05 season we had a highly ranked SOS and a very good KenPom rating but at the end of the day, some of it not necessarily Buckley's fault that the conference was loaded with good but not great teams that all finished around 11-7 we ended up with a road Monday loss to BG, and a Stovall injury, thus the ranking didn't mean much of anything. In our conference, its all about getting hot the way Buffalo has at the right time since who knows if the MAC will ever be a 2 bid league again since it has trended towards being football centric going back to about 2003.

The curse of the one bid conference. Luck in tourney required.

Anybody know anything about the strength and conditioning coach for basketball. His/her work with Moses and Teague could be pivotal for real improvement next year

A great weight and conditioning program can make a difference, hope what they are doing matches their needs.
Whatever happened with Moses this year, losing weight, but staying reasonably fit was a pretty good result. Not really worried about him as much. Losing weight and replacing fat with muscle is pretty hard to do, and now its a challenge to add weight, all muscle. You would hope. Teague has reportedly become stronger. I didn't notice that so much but also didn't see a lot of practice late in the year. He might still be growing, which would delay some of that muscle building.
But in both cases, young guys working hard at practice with almost any kind of strength training would improve some. With both being so young and recently growing fast, it might be hard to really improve in bulk and strength until now. Some of that is genes and body type.

I will predict 150's for the Cards next year. Whit is still on the job learning IMO. Recruiting and in-game adjustments have to improve.

I would sure like to see us react better and more quickly to runs by our opponents. We tend to wait til we're down 18 to take timeouts or make adjustments.

I like the idea of reacting better, but I am a little old school about believing that you preserve timeouts and use them to stop the clock when you need that. You can react by being prepared and creating a team where players know what is going on and leaders on the court can steady the team and make good plays. So, I am a little more willing to think we can more often allow them to do that without a timeout.
With a young team without an identity that is tough, but we have a couple of seniors next year, I hope we have the identity and can see that maturity. We should have made a plan for and know what can go wrong and what is needed.
Of course, I also think timeouts to plan strategy are overrated, it gives the other guy a chance to plan too...

I'd like to play faster on both D and O. Seems like we only press when we're down and it typically works

We'll have to revisit this poll when we actually know more. Maybe run it again.
The crowd is often pretty accurate, but the number of votes mean we have a lot more crowd here than facts or reasons given.

Of course if we don't get a little bigger, maybe we will be quicker relative to the opponent, and then I am open to riskier play.
