Alex completed his rehab in the AZL and is back with Kannapolis Intimidators. Who would have thought there is a team called Kannapolis Intimidators? Minor league baseball is really very special. |

The truth is minor league baseball teams frequently change nicknames to sell more caps & shirts such as the Omaha Storm Chasers, Albuquerque Isotopes & Akron Rubber Ducks. If they don't change the nickname they change the logo to sell more stuff.

NASCAR money owns them? Dale Earnhardt? Dale used to on the franchise, until his death. They changed the name from the "Boll Weevils" to "Intimidators" hwn he purchased them. |

You have to like the name better than Boll Weevils. I am sure the community was proud of its cotton heritage. Still, I don't get a bug that was an industry destroying pest as a mascot.
