I wonder if there will be a red/white scrimmage this year, before the exhibition game? I miss the old days when we had midnight madness! I am excited to see what the new players look like!

Who's going to emerge from this year's first practice on crutches? Seems to happen every year.

I'm guessing Whitford is finally back from his California excursion?

Seems to me that, relative to last year, we traded a reasonably productive inside player (which we really needed) for a point guard (which we really needed). That may turn out to be a near wash.
If we are going to be improved, that hinges on....wait for it.....Moses and Teague. Unfortunately this is the same thing I've been saying for almost two years now, but Whitford has failed to add any more plausible impact players to the frontline.
The biggest improvement in a player is almost always between the freshman and sophomore years. So there is some hope from Moses on that basis. We know he is willing to work after his losing weight before last year. Does he have the athletic upside to improve very much? We will see.
Teague may be more of a reach. I've heard little that leads one to believe he will be much help inside. He may spend a lot of time on the perimeter where he may as well be 5-11. Meanwhile the balanced teams will be beating us up inside.

Teague will be a very good addition to the front line. Me question is will Hollywood or Mailers (sp) redshirt? Whit' has been able to develop players and this should be a fun year for the Cards!

Sherman, I don't get why you think Teague will be playing outside so much.
Teague is not a perimeter player, not a polished offensive player anywhere, and not primarily a post up player either, will score inside, off the boards and moving to the basket. OTOH, Bo was not an inside player either on offense. Not maybe a huge difference.
On defense the difference is strength versus athleticism.

So it begins. Jeremie Tyler is suspended indefinitely. oops...guess the main way he can improve is by getting out of the doghouse.

Well, thank goodness. As a BSU basketball fan, I start feeling out of balance if I'm not getting good, hard kicks to the nuts on a regular basis. Haven't really had one since I learned the coach spent the summer in California rather than recruiting.
Certainly an odd time for a suspension. Is he suspended from practice...or what?
