Jeremie just posted a picture on Instagram with the caption "Dec. 19th"
I take that as a sign that he will be back this year.

He'll be back, but once again will lose a good chunk of the season that developmentally he would have benefited from. He's forcing his teammates and coaches to again adjust to his off court issues.

It's a shame. When we sign a player, I pay attention to any feature stories about them, paying particular attention to the interviews with the player and the people in their lives. You can often gain a fairly clear picture of whether or not the kid is likely to run into problems in college. In Tyler's case, I had a very good impression.

Just to be clear, I meant "good" as in not likely to have problems.

I agree Sherm, nothing (that we knew of) in Tyler's pre-BSU exposure indicated he'd be a "problem child."

Agreed. A good recruit, talent, no evidence of character issues, not sure he was a projected Rhodes Scholar or anything, but the academic problems seemed to surprise everyone too.

Jeremie just posted a picture on Instagram with the caption "Dec. 19th" I take that as a sign that he will be back this year. The Sunday after Final Exams close. If your guess is correct then it's good to see a date named. The fact he is naming a date is a positive sign of his commitment and intention at least. And a sign the trouble is reasonably well defined...even if we have no idea what it is. Guess until then he can work on school and stay in shape. Better than an injury I suppose. He can be ready physically to participate and get ready for the MAC season. OTOH, unlike an injury a downside may be that the suspension means he perhaps cannot even attend practice and meetings? I'd like to see him have support and connection which he may need, could have trouble if he is isolated.
