I do think Cochran actually I know Cochran had a problem with the handling of Brown. He was not the only one who did not appreciate the fact that Brown was handed minutes from day one. It might have been different had brown been around and beat someone out to earn those minutes. The way Whit handled Brown showed exactly how desperate Whit was. Nobody was hoping Brown would be the next Larry Bird more than Whit.

I have to admit, the Big East is a meat grinder. Xavier spent a week in the Top 25 two weeks before the Big East starts. They go 8-11 and finish tied for 8th in conference. Then they put an NIT run to win it all. Butler fires LaVall Jordan after finishing tied for 10th. In total, 3 coaches gone in Big East. Forgot that Patrick Ewing went 0-19 in Big East play. Should've been another coach eaten up by the Big East grind. 0-19 and didnt get fired. The Ball State approach to success.

I’m all for withholding judgment until we see it on the court. But he’s doing everything right so far. The contrast with Whitford is impossible to miss. It felt like Whit would have preferred fewer fans because it would have been fewer critical eyes. Lewis is not afraid.

I know nothing about if this is a good hire, but you guys are getting me pumped up. Long wait for November. We should have a rough idea of what to expect long before November based on recruiting and portal transactions (losses and additions). Yeah but November is when we get to see if he produces.

The day after my 21st birthday the guy I sat next to in Indiana history wished me a happy birthday. I asked how he knew it was my birthday and he said he was the dj at the chug and my buddies told him it was my birthday to give a shout out.

Is it better for UCLA to keep going so he comes in with a higher level of recent success or lose tonight so he comes in tomorrow?

I plugged each school’s coordinates into a “geographic center” calculator and the geographic center of our conference is about right between BGSU and Toledo.

The MAC should scrap the useless tournament, go back to giving the regular season some meaning and be (almost) unique in the nation. I know all the teams want a shot at the tournament but if they played decent basketball with good players and coaching during the regular season we could get a couple of bids for the NCAA. I agree 100%. It makes no sense to send a weak team that got hot at the right time. What you do over the course of the season means a whole lot more than just stringing together a few wins at the end.

I did a bunch of mapping a long time ago and Fort Wayne is basically fair for everyone. It’s nobody’s home court and centralized geographically.
The Coliseum is big enough to host it, and Ft Wayne probably has enough hotels to accommodate (I’m guessing).

I’d like for all these guys to come back, but I’m torn because I was told all season that our youth was our weakness.

What, that IU is out already? It was men vs boys. Saint Marys looked extremely strong. Hard to believe west coast conference has two teams like them and Gonzaga. Both are stronger than anyone in PAC12. Maybe it is a carryover from their strong football programs? To be fair to IU, they played intense games March 10, 11, 12, and 15. St Mary’s is good but eventually that many games in that few days will catch up to you.

Who had the Hoosiers losing by 30 points in their bracket? I stupidly had them in the sweet 16. Seems like a play in team always makes a splash and they seemed hot in the b10 tourney.
