Someone asked the question earlier (and several times this season) about us seemingly giving up career nights to guards almost every game .... well I looked for this season, and it is pretty close to accurate. Here are the list of career (or within 3 points of career) highs given up JUST THIS YEAR - by point order (along with scoring averages) Sincere Carry - Kent - 42 (18.5 ppg) Colton Sandage - Western Illinois - 33 (13.8 ppg) Koby McEwen - Weber State - 30 (32 is high) (18 ppg) Xavier Castandeda - Akron - 29 (12.6 ppg) Cameron Healy - CMU - 27 (11.1 ppg) Dae Dae Grant - Miami - 26 (17.3 ppg) Tevin Brewer - Florida International - 25 (15.6 ppg) Zach Freemantle - Xavier - 24 (not a guard) - (10 ppg) Josiah Strong - Illinois State - 23 (26 is high) - (11.7 ppg) B Artis White - WMU - 21 (23 is high) - (7.4 ppg) This is really bad. That Pack Line Defense is really shutting things down. If you are keeping score at home - that is 10 career highs given up in 27 games so far - or basically we give up a career high to someone almost 40% of the time Good lord. |

I'm guessing they're holding Gard responsible for his assistant coach not turning the other cheek after taking a slap to the face? I bet it’s for Gard’s role instigating. Doesn’t diminish Howard’s culpability, but Gard did grab him and get in his face. |

My fear is that Longwood will get too excited for the tournament, spurt out to an early lead and then come out limp in the second half. When you’re young and vigorous that 15 minute break at halftime is all you need to get right back at it. |

I'm more worried about my Florida real estate. 00 deplores everything about conservative governance but when given the choice he freely chooses to live in two Red States. I am certain your doublewide in Ocala is just fine. I can’t believe that guy owns two pieces of real estate when some people don’t even own one. Selfish jerk. If he had any moral compass he’d give both places to homeless people and go live in a tent as penance. |

I worked Katrina relief way back then, and watching the people who actually knew what they were doing being able to barely avoid catastrophe and expertly redirect massive limbs from the top of buildings was truly fascinating. I was always right on the edge with "this time they are going to totally crush that house" seconds before they maneuvered it correctly. That totally put me in the "hire a pro" camp for big tree maintenance. If I wasnt supposed to handle large tree maintenance on my own my multi-tool wouldn’t have come with that little saw. |

I have no idea what these crackpots are worried about Yeah okay, except is it any more absurd than claiming some clown in a buffalo hat and a few others were a "threat to overthrow democracy". At least in bsutrack's example the claims are coming from an odd noninfluential fringe group, in the case of Buffalo Hat guy the claims are coming from Democrat Party leadership and are echoed ad nauseam by CNN. Are you ever going to grow-up ? Yeah I remember the day that happened someone close to me described it as an attempt to overthrow the government and I was like “you think a few hundred idiots getting out of hand are seriously going to take down the most powerful government in human history?” Then I saw the news also making it out as an attempt to overthrow the government and it made more sense. Fits the narrative much better. The media also didnt hesitate to call it a riot, despite many much more destructive riots being called protests or demonstrations. |
