I have a lot of thoughts on the game, but for now all I want to say is that I am proud to be a Ball State Cardinal Alum and fan today. What an awesome effort by our guys! This is not the same team we had in 2017. Beat IU!

Essentially the same team. Just more experience and a lot more healthy! Excited for IU!

Super proud! Had a chance on the big stage and that’s all you can ask for. The guys stood tall today.

When I look back and see how far this team has come since I was in school, it is truly a wonder. I remember playing Wittenburg in Muncie after a Friday night snowfall of about three or four inches. The Ball State crews didn't even clean the snow in the seats behind the team under the press box. I would bet there were not more the a few Hundred fans! That is a far cry from playing Michigan and Notre Dame and coming up eight points short in both contests. The Wolverines were number two in the nation and of course Notre Dame is number eight. I wanted to win so badly but I do not think I have ever been prouder of a Ball State University athletic team. If you consider last season, the way Lembo left this program, and the expectations of the faithful. This was not a program on the rise...And now look at us...I have said it before and now I say it proudly once more, "We are not lil' ole Ball State any more".

You are exactly right and I have seen lots of growth in our program over the last 50 years as well. I am very proud of Coaching staff and all the players too a man! Our program deserves much greater support than what we have traditionally had. I also hope the media starts treating us with much greater respect and especially in Indiana. Proud of the Cardinals all the time but especially today!

Until yesterday, the hardest fought BSU football game I had ever seen was the first time we played at Clemson. Close, hard fought game. Both sides hit hard and played tough football in a storied, football rich environment. The Clemson fans told us how good and hard fought the game was. We may have lost that day, but we won in another and more important way - Character and Class!
The ND game finally meet that same standard.
Thanks Cards for such a hard fought game - now go beat IU!

Great turnout by our fans at notre dame. Super cool to see the "mutual respect" by Notre Dame and both bands playing together. Team played great, made everyone proud, and no injuries. I believe we're in for a special treat for the season if we continue to play (improve?) from yesterday.

It’s a 12 hour round trip for me so I don’t get back to campus much anymore either but stay plugged in through ESPN network and Sports-Link!
