Pick’em. Toss up.
My prediction: BSU 22 (5 FG’s) CMU 21.

With this team, I have no idea. The offense has been generally disappointing in the losses. The defense has held up pretty well to this point. Gave us a chance in all but the iu game. Just don’t know what we’ll get.

I think the improvement of the defense is as shocking as the lack of improvement from the offense.
Coming into the year I thought we'd only beat CCSU. I figured the defense would continue giving up 40-60 points per game and the offense would be better but unable to keep up. The defense is only giving up 20-30 points per game but the offense still can't do anything.
And injuries are mounting again.

We win this week with a ground game. We get 200 + on the ground we get a w. CMU's D is not ND,IU or NIU's. They will also overlook us as the following game is WMU their big one.

Yes the injuries are once again a big concern.
Physically we still look outmanned by everyone. The d is quicker but still small and the offense gets manhandled by physical defenses. I don’t know if it’s a philosophy of recruiting or a strength and conditioning issue. Niu had some big boys. And our secondary continues to struggle both in coverage and in tackling. We do have improved front 7 play.

Yeah I still don't like how we get gashed up the middle on plays, both passing and rushing. The offensive weapons on CMU are definitely down compared to last year. Their RB Ward, who crushed us last year is having a terrible season so far. They just put in a new QB a couple of games ago and he leads the team in rushing. Their top WR only has 15 catches for 160 yards on the season.
I actually feel very confident that we will handle our business in this game. Maybe put a spy on their QB to limit his rushing tendencies? I say we win 26-17, which is ironic because I looked up ppg for both teams after I thought of this score and found out the score is what both teams average so far this season.
On a side note, I hope that all of you fall breakers down here in Florida stay safe if you are in Hurricane Michael's path. I've been through Hurricane Matthew and Irma in back to back years here in Jacksonville and that was no fun at all!

I think this is a great opportunity for the team to focus, come together and get a win. I won’t say they won’t have a stutter getting started, but they’ll have a few good drives, a few good stops and enough to get the win. BSU 24 - CMU 17 Go Cards!!!

Balls 38 Chips 17 Somebody unexpected will have a breakout game. Hmmmmm unexpected breakout game.. You talking offensively. I guess littles could get some play.. Maybe a bit of hurt if Huntley is out. Not sure we have any other kids we really play. Im always hoping Newton emerges again

Really disappointed in the offense consistency.. Maybe the o line injuries are a major contributor. At least we have a better playbook this year. As others have said, improving D should have produced 2 more wins. Really need a solid performance at CMU.
Cards, get it togetether.
