"Cheap"
That's pretty funny considering how many million $ is paid out every year to keep his program afloat
It goes to illustrate how, once someone gets their hands in other people's pockets, instead of being embarrassed and sheepish, they just get more greedy, brazen and entitled

Maybe the Miami bloggers who said he has already been told he is not coming back are right.

They expect major college performance, right? They pay a pittance by that standard. Or are they aware they are playing the game and pretending to be a "major" conference school?
Either way, the coach who takes the job is not the one responsible for the amount of money he is paid.
Besides, I agree with him. Where's the frigging trophy for the big rivalry? Wabash and Depauw on an DIII budget fight every year over a big heavy bell. You have to be cheap to not have a trophy.

Well that should just about put the fork in him I don't know. That buyout is real money. This whole discussion, and the Miami fan expectations, are some kind of fantasy world. That our team, whoever it is, SHOULD win the big game.
Maybe that is where the designation "fan" comes from, not "fanatic" but instead "fantasy world dweller."

It's a 110 year old rivalry. I would think if they really wanted a trophy to symbolize the game, one would already exist. Not a money thing whatsoever. Kind of glad now that we overlooked Chuck Martin.

Kind of glad now that we overlooked Chuck Martin. He's 20-39 in Oxford. I'm sure the fans don't trust his leadership to close out an important game.

The question of ''Where is the trophy?'' begs the next question of ''Where are the wins?''
