Im just going to leave this
Ball State had a recorded attendance of 5,503 last night and will finish with an average of 10,287 per game. That's its highest since averaging 15,131 in 2013.
For comparison's sake, the previous four seasons...
2017: 9,899 2016: 7,789 2015: 7,974 2014: 9,389

I guess most probably didn’t stick around. Attendance continues to be embarrassing, but hey at least we are improving!

Butts in seats vs. official attendance a big mystery in MAC football?

Im sure others did this as well It was way less than that lol.. I bet the include season tickets sales into those numbers.. Also keep in mind we only had 1 mid weel Mac game this year

Students still get in for free, correct? Do we need to start paying people to attend games?

What year did we play at Lucas Oil and it counted as a home game?

I think our matchup next year with IU at Lucas Oil will count as a home game as well

Biggest part of our crowd last night was in the suites and club seats. Maybe 300-400 there. Actual bodies in the stands? I did a rough count in the first half. On the west side maybe 150 and other than the band absolutely no one on the east side. I'd guess total was less than 1,000 including all staff, band, cheerleaders, code red, players, coaches, officials and fans. It was Puh Theh Tic.

As for Western going for two, IMO it was the correct choice. I would have done it, especially the way they seemed to gain eight yards on every first down run.

ESPN shows us with a 19.2% chance of winning at Miami.

Thoughts on game - happy for seniors to get a W, Plitt was mostly what you'd want for a #2 QB, hall and Riley M. did fine. The win probably gives Neu another yr, but I hope Goetz tries to at the very least coerce Neu into firing Elson. If Wassink had started, Western would of dropped a 50 burger on BSU. Run D was a nightmare. But it's a win, and in college sports you don't get a higher draft pick for losing. I certainly don't expect to win on the road in Oxford next week.

But, I sure am glad I was dressed warmly. OT was a killer.
