Also, Franco is listed #18 on their best 25 players in the MAC list, in an article where they state that "Ball State could be a dark horse in the MAC West race." Tyler is also listed at #21 on that list, in an article where they speculate that he could be near the top of the top 25 in a post-season list. I'll assume that Sellers will be eventually listed in this list, as they are only hitting the top 10 now.

The naysayers must be in shock.
While I agree completely we can replace our losses and be improved, even when I am the most optimistic I don't really expect us to challenge for the West lead. Not this year. That seems a year early. Maybe as a stretch in a horse race we get to third, and are dangerous in the MAC tourney. I can see us with a win on campus, depends on the match ups, then get hot and upset somebody in Toledo.
The odd thing may be that we have enough balance that we may not have a star player who gets accolades. Could be Sellers, Tyler, Weber, or House in some game who is star, or maybe they split the scoring, nobody stands out. If Teague were to become a player right away, it's 5 ways. I like that result actually...
Mentioning Bo prominently was a little surprise, I would have thought media saw him as more a utility front line player, good enough to fill in, not as much a leader in any department. If they are right, it will be welcome.

On the radio last night thy had both the Women's and the Men's coaches on , when ask about the new players Whit said , not counting Weber , the most impressive were Smith , who is the a true point guard and makes great decisions , and Moses who went from being a high contender for a red-shirt to making a run at starting ....

Smart move by Whit. Praise for kids who aren't expected to be great. When you have freshmen you need to take pressure off, not raise expectations too much. With this, Teague has expectations lowered and Moses is given a shot in the arm.
All in all the substance of the statement is that Smith and Moses are sound players at the MAC level and that is very good news with nearly everybody on the roster able to contribute.

There is an article on Hustle Belt from Oct 19 titled 5 transfers to watch that includes Weber.

Love it....I have been saying that Moses would contribute right away and might push Wells to start...looks like the kid may be on the mark!!

The omission of Weber makes you wonder how much time and effort they actually spent on the preview

General, I think the article on the 19th suggested that Weber is one of the top transfers to the MAC??
