Bullet point breakdown on why a coaching change is needed. Please feel free to add things I fail to mention:
Philosophy and not recruiting players to play it to be successful/no pure shooters or dominant inside presence to take pressure off of dribble drive
Lack of physical and mental toughness in players he recruits/no discipline
Poor defensive coaching principles
Poor Roster management/not filling out roster and or recruiting stiffs who are not ready to play/over recruiting same position
Lack of consistent inside players
Poor team fundamentals/TO/Assist/Defensive rebounding
No halftime adjustments
Poor record in close games 6 or less 28-36
Poor overall record/6 years 87-101 MAC Overall record 40-64 MAC Tournament record 1-5 February/March MAC Record 21-40

*Lack of recruiting effort and energy necessary to recruit head-to-head vs successful mid-majors for necessary players.

Let me provide a bulleted counterpoint list.
> Team "plays the right way" > Team faces opponents with injured starters, thus making game planning difficult > Team deals with multiple injuries to key pieces, making it difficult to carry out gameplan > Team suffers from "bad luck" resulting in close losses > Team is full of "really good guys"

* Lack of overall intelligence and creativity necessary to devise appropriate strategies and tactics for success in BSU's particular position in college basketball. This shortcoming results in a reliance on strategies and tactics created by others for different situations, as well as an exasperating series of derivative quotes and off-balance excuses. This applies to recruiting, roster management, player development, game planning and in-game adjustments.

* Lack of player development. Seniors playing no better than they did as sophomores, sometimes worse. Transfers and redshirts displaying little benefit of sitting out a year. *Lack of improvement during the season. No indication that we are a better team at the end of any season than we were at the beginning.

I'll add one - almost every player digresses during his career. And I don't mean ever so slight slips. I'm talking going from double figure scoring starter to bench or not even a part of the offense in many cases. Bo Calhoun is the only player I can think of that got better in his career under Whitford.

I believe the only reason he isnt canned in March is 100% buyout related. Otherwise goodbye.
