Neal is the guy for Vandy. Getting the start vs. Georgia. Good luck to him, he’s going to need it tonight.

Why would coaches complement his arm strength if he couldn’t throw good deep balls? Arm strength with no accuracy is not a strength. I agree with you guys about him struggling at times with decision making, and accuracy and willingness to throw deep, but is it possible he has improved his accuracy and willingness to throw deep? Seems like those are things that can be fixed. It is undeniable that Riley has a cannon for an arm. I watched him in HS and his first handful of BSU games look like a completely different player than he did the last few years. He lacked confidence, and thus tried to finesse deep balls for some dumb reason. No doubt that was why Hazelton left. I personally think Pete Lembo got in his head, and he was never the same after that.

I don’t know if one year of Lame Duck Lembo derailed Riley or not.
But let’s say it did and, if so, that’s what continually bothers me about Neu. A former QB, former NFL QB coach, all-around nice guy.....and he couldn’t put a naturally talented QB back together again in 3 full years.

Well 2016 was Plitt who was a Lynch/Lembo recruit 2017 was supposed to be vanderflop but we ended up with no one 2018 was paddock 2019 was Nondorf/Schott So unless your playing a walk on or you land a transfer the pickings have been slim before riley in 15 we had Morrison ,Mann and Milas. What I do find weird is that we have not landed our first choice at QB under Neu yet. We have lost QB recruiting battles to Toledo,Miami and WMU in recent years along with several other out of conference schools
