How the hell does moving them enhance the game day experience? Bsu is king of shooting itself in the foot. Smh.

They talk about tradition this is one od the only "traditions" BSU has. Whenever former players/alumni come back they always meet up at the sled.

I know y’all can argue the actual butts in the seats BUT....
A quick google search of 2018 football attendance by school shows Ball State dead last of ALL schools in FBS. I guess honking off the most dedicated fans in this microscopic fan base is the first step in turning the ship around.
I applaud those that are in charge for not being afraid to look outside the box to seek improvement of the total football experience that has really never existed at my school. 🤦♂️

I just want to know, 1. What IS the “game day experience” at a bsu game? 2. What is the Athletic Dept/meddling University administrators idea of the “game day experience” at a bsu game? (Any sport). 3. Those in charge of these decisions, please explain and describe how moving the sled enhances the “game day experience”. I dare ya. Otherwise it just looks like a power play/control play because someone just doesn’t like the Sled being where it was.

My guess is the few people attending "Charlie Town" were noticing that the people at the sled were having more fun than they were. So they decided to move the competition. I too want to know what the "game day experience" is. I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 50 years and as stated above the administration historically has hurt attendance with their "good" intentions.

Move the competition is one good theory. Now, if bsu wants to maybe put food trucks where the sled usually sits that’s ok, but if that happens to be the case just say so!

Yes if there is a legit reason then ok. BUT the sled still needs a prime spot seems like if that's the case there is probably a good compromise somewhere

I've never seen a school that went out of its way to piss on its own athletic programs more than this one.

My guess is this decision was made by the same moron who decided to alter the parking lot access schedule four days prior to homecoming. Ball State would you please do yourself a favor and start firing people.

The FANS at the sled (I use caps for a good reason) have always been the best. They are every game at home and most away (if the actual sled is there or not). They contribute money to BSU. They welcome everyone with open arms. They are the best BSU had to offer. And now, this is your thank you? What is wrong with you? When I first moved to Michigan and was within driving distance of Muncie they did not know me from Adam, but welcomed me and greeted me each game after that by name asking nothing in return. Ball State should be reserving them a parking space rather than running them out to tailgating hell. Get your collective heads out of your rears, admit you made a mistake, apologize , give them all some free Ball State ''swag'' , show up on game day and show everyone you are true Ball State fanatics.

If someone goes to the trouble of tricking out an RV in BSU colors and logos, you might give them special consideration.
Quick question for BSU Athletics: "How many fans show up to every game in a custom BSU ride?"
I think I already know the answer.

And showing up to 100 games in a row sitting through some of the worst football anyone has ever seen.. They should have a reserved spot in the front row of where ever the hell they want
