I’m actually beginning to see their tactic. When you have virtually ZERO interest for the products the athletic department is providing for sale to the public, you’ve got to shake things up a bit. Running off the folks who visit an old red RV in the parking area will hardly be noticed in most statistics......
.......but, erecting a giant weenie vending pavilion in that area just might be the missing link to attendance glory days. Add a giant craft beer vat to the mix and this newly opened space could reap hundreds of revenue dollars to shore up the university budget.

The FANS at the sled (I use caps for a good reason) have always been the best. They are every game at home and most away (if the actual sled is there or not). They contribute money to BSU. They welcome everyone with open arms. They are the best BSU had to offer. And now, this is your thank you? What is wrong with you? When I first moved to Michigan and was within driving distance of Muncie they did not know me from Adam, but welcomed me and greeted me each game after that by name asking nothing in return. Ball State should be reserving them a parking space rather than running them out to tailgating hell. Get your collective heads out of your rears, admit you made a mistake, apologize , give them all some free Ball State ''swag'' , show up on game day and show everyone you are true Ball State fanatics. I did not know the owners at all until a few years ago. I was invited and introduced they literally opened the doors to my family and I. They have become part of my familys game day ritual. They love my kids and my kids love them. Over the last few years I have seen many many different former cardinal players hanging out as well parents of current players. Whenever espn/cbs etc is shooting fill in coverage the first place they come is the sled. Charlie Cardinal visits every game and then everyone there stops what they are doing and goes up and watches the cardinal walk. The Sled and where its located is as much a part of BSUfootball as the product on the field or any other "tradition" we have

My entire BSU experience is directly tied to the SLED. I was a freshman in 2002 and the sled has been there every game. They are the best people and its always the highlight of the experience. Everyone at the sled is family.

What will be tough is the fact that most do not like to say they have made a mistake. To the powers that be, read what has been written here, admit a mistake has been made, it was made with no malice intended, apologize, and let The Sled park it's weary bones where they belong. If you do that, you will have many singing you praise rather than condemning your actions. It takes an even handed person to admit a mistake. These folks are the best of the best...Please do not lose sight of that when reviewing this new policy.

If they let ONE RV painted up in a BSU football theme and full of hardcore fans for a hundred games in a row park close to the stadium, then they would have to let ALL RV'S painted up in a BSU football theme and full of hardcore fans for a hundred games in a row park close to the stadium. Then you'd have the whole stadium surround by throngs of enthusiastic, loyal fans having fun and it would be a total unmanageable mess. You guys have to understand that the administration has to deal with this insatiable, overwhelming demand for BSU football and so sometimes they have to make hard and unpopular decisions about access.

If someone goes to the trouble of tricking out an RV in BSU colors and logos, you might give them special consideration. Quick question for BSU Athletics: "How many fans show up to every game in a custom BSU ride?" I think I already know the answer. And showing up to 100 games in a row sitting through some of the worst football anyone has ever seen.. They should have a reserved spot in the front row of where ever the hell they want Who can disagree? But of course this behavior seems to prove that being a fan involves more than a little questionable mental health.
