We seem to have talent, but not guts or discipline. Or smarts. Plitt is both encouraging and maddening at the same time. Not accurate and takes unnecessary chances. I like his willingness to make throws Riley wouldn’t but still needs to be more accurate, and more discerning sometimes.

Those two punts and those misses on passes to a WIDE OPEN Hall were huge.

Rimmler did his job & I am happy to see the defense hold them under 40. What do we look like in two weeks against NIU?

I’m definitely more optimistic for MAC play. Anyone else?!

Agree on the improvement in certain areas, but four games into the season and you're still committing stupid mistakes like we do no special teams? IDK, I think we are what we are and that's a marginally improved team that will not compete for a title. On a bright note I was pleasantly surprised by our field goal kicker making a field goal longer than 30 yards! Every time he lined up to kick a FG I was saying out loud that he won't hit it and every time he did hit it! Kept us in the game I think.

I’m definitely more optimistic for MAC play. Anyone else?! I think so. They are capable. I just hope they don’t fall apart during MAC play like they always do in the Neu era. They usually get worse as the season goes on.

They usually get worse as the season goes on. That is the “no” part of my answer. I hope we use the next two weeks to really work On oline play and the run game. We have Huntley, use him! And of course work on discipline.

I am ready for N.I.U.
I like this team, they hit hard, good talent.
Yes we had a couple special teams things that were big, but they made some incredible catches on very good coverage.
Like this team, would be awesome to go and go on to win a bowl.
You start the season with all the big goals. Gotta beat IU. Need non con games to get bowl. Gotta win Power 5 to raise level of program. All important.
But then you realize you could have won all those games but if you fall when conference starts, does it matter?
This is a weird team.
Weird teams win when all else is equal.

Rimmler did his job & I am happy to see the defense hold them under 40. What do we look like in two weeks against NIU? Shows how low our expectations have become. When I first read this comment, I was like "Yeah, defense must have played decently." But then I realized that keeping an opponent from putting up 40 shouldn't be something that is celebrated ... even mildly; it should be expected. Ah well, this is where BSU football resides.
