Butler, Gonzaga, Xavier, Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, Murray State, Buffalo..............If your theory is correct the BigEast would have fallen off the planet.

Wake me up when they go after the Nike recruit paying machine. But they won't because Nike and the Ncaa are practically the same big organization, with a shoe production arm and a basketball/marketing arm. If Nike isn't shunting money to the recruits and their families, they are more likely to skip over the ncaa entirely and go overseas or something. And with Nike's advertising budget, the media is not particularly anxious to blow the whistle on the whole sham.

Butler, Gonzaga, Xavier, Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, Murray State, Buffalo.............. The first 4 spend 3-5 times what most mid major schools spend. Gonzaga’s BB budget was $9M in 2018 ($12M revenue). They can compete in regular season.....no champions since 1962.....which is in a galaxy far, far away.

Oh please, those schools with the exception of Cincinnati have smaller athletic budgets than Ball State. They simply made better decisions prioritizing where they spent their capital and built quality basketball programs. How many of the "BIG MONEY" schools have won a National Championship since 1962 ? IU has the largest basketball budget in the BigTen and they flat-out suck.
