Cards are the deepest in years! My predictions didn’t come through last season but this season the predictions are bankable Who cares about depth if you are overall less talented ?

Both are important of course. Suppose we have only average talent. Not many objectively would say we are not at least that. Having better depth is a huge advantage in that case. Anybody with any sense would care about having an advantage.

I just don’t know what you’ll say if this team breaks through... Kid's been waiting for 5 years to see what we'll all say "if this team breaks through." I sure hope it happens this year because this thought seems to be weighing on him quite a bit. On the other hand, I guess we all know what Kid will say if we don't break through this year.

I feel good about our pool of talent, less good about our coaching. However, I feel this has the potential to be a very good year.

Looking at the magazines in the grocery store today, it certainly seems like the MAC will see a downswing. It's the first time I really have looked things over. Seemed like every team was hit pretty good by some combination of graduation, transfer or injury. We'll see if the pre-conf results verify this. But I think another top 11 finish is within reach.

We have had a couple of winning seasons in there! Not all 5 have been losers and not last year but some other years my predictions have been pretty close!
I’m eager to see this team and by mid season many on the board will change their tune!
I note the General is setting up just in case we do well to say MAC is having a down year....well I’ll be damned

Lunardi released a bracket update yesterday and still has Ball State as a 15 seed. Andy Katz has Bowling Green and the others I have looked at have Toledo.

Lunardi must see some BSU talent to list us as a 15 seed?!
And, while I would agree that both Moses and Persons were losses I don’t believe this team falls short of them from a talent perspective.
Look for us to go 9-10 deep and I believe scoring will be very spread around with Teague and possibly KJ leading the way; Hazen has a nose for the ball and has range. He could be are best scorer overall both outside and inside.
Mallers has been working very hard to get his stroke back on target! Thomas hurt his wrist but nothing significant; this kid has a big motor and is very long/athletic. It will be hard to keep him off the floor.
And, El Amin shows the play of a senior; he thinks he can score virtually every time the ball is in his hand.
Hendricks is very active and will get minutes.
Sounds like an NCAA tournament team not a top 11 finisher

Lunardi must see some BSU talent to list us as a 15 seed?! Do you honestly think Lunardi spent more than 30 seconds looking at the MAC. That being said we do have a better chance of winning the conference tournament this year.

I don’t know truly how long he looked at the MAC but he’s generally been pretty accurate.
What I do know Sweep is you are beginning to see the light for season 2019-2020!

Exactly where the fates have seemed to conspire against us with late season woes of one kind or the other for a lot of years.

I have to think Lunardi is picking us solely based upon the amount of players we return from last season. If he looked into the actual production of those players he might have to analyze his prediction more thoroughly.
I am very excited about the season to begin though. Only about a month away!

I am very excited about the season to begin though. Only about a month away! Every season, Every sport, Every year. The same excitement and expectations abound among the Cardinal’s most elite fan base! Wait for it........Reality finally catches up with us in the end. BUT!!!!! This will be the season where buying that Mega Millions ticket at Ricker’s twice a week finally pays off and we arrive in the magical city of Cleveland to pull back the curtain and find a true Wizard actually “IS” running the controls.
