Gotta give props to Lynch. The play calling today was outstanding. It makes it a lot easier when you have a great running game.

I think Mike Neu might have saved his job this afternoon

Just got home and boy was that wonderful to watch. Really happy for the team and coaches but just as happy for the fans. I know many of us were expecting to get kicked in the balls today, but what happened today ... that's the way you do Homecoming.
Gonna grab my Blanton's for a celebratory drink instead of drowning my sorrows. I tell ya, this celebration thing is something I could get used to.

I am super excited about the win loss record but still pretty pessimistic on how we got here. NIU melted down. I didn't get to watch EMU but based on what I read we just as easily could have lost it. And Toledo was about as bad an opponent as I’ve seen us play lately. They are in a tailspin.
At the end of the day all I really care about is wins and championships. So for all I care we can Buffalo our way into a win at Detroit. But as of today the jury is still out in my book.

Playing to win and playing not to lose are two different beast. I believe we saw that today.

No one predicted this.

Confidence-a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities. This team is starting to believe in themselves. Enjoy the ride.

I was at the first half of the game today (6 year old niece wanted to leave at halftime and that is simply not a storm worth weathering!) and it was an amazing showing, but holy shit are our students pathetic! I haven't been to a game in a couple years, but at no point during this game did I see the students on their feet, cheering, making any kind of noise, except for the t-shirt toss. When I can hear the Toledo QB clap on third down every single drive, that's just sad. I'd rather 100 students show up and make noise than 5,000 show up and sit on their hands.
Maybe they just haven't had anything to cheer about for so long they forgot how to, but that just made me sad. Hopefully they show up louder next weekend after seeing such a great game!

NIU drops their second one but CMU is still lingering with only one loss. Was hoping they would drop one today. I can’t see Eastern handling Western, but u never know in rivalry games. I’m sure they would love to derail Western’s championship aspirations. Wow, pleasantly surprised. Now need a second Central loss.

No one predicted this. Really. I am celebrating. But people are comparing today to ‘08. That’s off the deep end. I’m not sure what anyone predicting this has to do with anything either. Toledo totally pooped their pants today. Any team in the MAC could have beat them today the way they performed. Ala BGSU last weekend.

Ala BGSU last weekend. I think I mentioned 2008 and I am not comparing this team to 2008. 2008 and wennings teams would demolish this version. I do think that todays first half performance was as good as any I remember.. Competition might not have been as good but its hard to top what we saw in the first half today
