The optimist in me says we play hard.
Sure, maybe not every coming game, maybe not every player. That's expecting too much. Too easy to lose it in any given game. Still if we do that we win 2 or 3.
The pessimist in me says we could do that, play hard, play pretty well, but I'm with rmc, no game is a lock. Can easily lose any game. A lot of games within a single TD.

Whats weird is there is not a game left where I would say yep we got that one.. There is also not a game where I would say yep there is no way we are going to win that obe.. Its a toss up can we get 2 of 5 Watching/listening to the videos and reading the articles, it sounds like the players are still carrying a grudge from last year and success has not gone to their heads. We'll just have to see how it plays out on the field on Saturday.
Agree with the first part, but is that realistic to carry us through the season and is part of it just "player talk" instead of "coach talk" ??

One and done.
One poster on the MAC boards seems to think CMU is the favorite at this point. If Ball State can get by Ohio, I don't know why the Cards wouldn't be.
While CMU still has NIU and Toledo at home, they still have to play them. Ball State has already beaten both teams and has Central at home.
I think the West winner will have a 6-2 record and it will come down a tiebreaker. If the Cards beat WMU or Central, they will be in gooooood shape.

I believe Buffalo's starting QB is out for the year so there's that.

Crumb said he knows the team’s defensive line is smaller than most opposing offensive lines, but the Cardinals’ pride and determination have propelled them to success.
“We don’t care,” Crumb said. “We’re going to punch you in the mouth, and we’re going to win. That’s just kind of how it is. We’re going to come out and face all this adversity. We’re going to come back, we’re going to win and show you what’s what.”
Ball State’s motto for the 2019 campaign is “Out the mud.” Dunner said it translates to the team having a hard time winning games in recent years. With the wins starting to add up, tying last season’s conference win total, is Ball State “Out the mud?”
“We’re not out the mud,” Neu said. “We’re taking some steps in the right direction. It’s onto the next one.”

Jacob White said he still has mud on his cleats and they still have work to do.

Buffalo helped us today. Still have sole possession of the west.

I’m glad NIU and Toledo played the wrong QB’s against us. Especially NIU.
