I don't see it, there is an article on Butler. Do you have link? Try this. I saw it online yesterday and assumed it would be in today's print addition. amp.indystar.com/amp/2498628001Thank you. Makes them sound scarier than their exhibition win...

Evansville plays Kentucky after us. With their coach being a former UK alum, maybe we’ll get treated as a look ahead opponent? Most likely not with this being the first real game of the season.
I’m glad that Feehan kid is gone from their team. He torched us last year from 3.

Thank you. Makes them sound scarier than their exhibition win... Like the marketing slogan. “Next Year is Now”. Say it slowly....over and over. So, .....if they make it to tournament, I take it we are the new state team with longest tournament drought? 🤔

Better than BSU's basketball slogan, which is "Excuse and Extend Failure"

Every year is what it is.
There is good, bad, and ugly in that.

AD seems happy about football. Article refers to discussion about extension of the coach post season.
BB headline more optimistic than the article which mentions several topics we have discussed here.
Nothing too questionable in the column inches devoted to the coming season except a lack of specifics, and a claim the the MAC is full of good teams. Coach is quoted, recognizing they are not a powerhouse team, more modestly claims they can "leave behind the bad taste from last season and compete both for a MAC title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament."

I love this "The former Miami (Ohio), Xavier and Arizona assistant........ wanted to win the Mid-American Conference outright and reach the NCAA Tournament." "as close as they’ve come to those two goals, they haven’t reached them". Who the f--k wrote this nonsense, they haven't been close to either.

As long as they are hitting on “all fires.” Actually, Herman, what they need is to have "all fires clicking". Whitford: "We have to have all fires clicking. I think we’ve got to be on it at every level.”
As far as Google can tell, that's the first utterance of the phrase "all fires clicking" in the history of mankind. Likewise, if you Google the phrase "be on it at every level" the only return you get is the SP article currently being discussed. You know, this quote might just be the most interesting thing Whitford has ever said or done here in 6 1/2 years.

Hopefully none of our players flex their muscles at them this time...might get another 40-10 run dropped on us.

I’m thinking the OTP board will have a few thread posts this season utilizing this nugget of newly-found Coach Speak. Just a hunch.
